More Encouraged Reading

Here's a link to Cimarron Review #167, and because she's much too humble to recommend reading her poem, I'm going to tell you to check out Beth Marzoni's "Blasphemy Song." It even has Kalamazoo in it. What could be better than that?

The only thing better than that would be Beth sitting in your living room.

okay, so i just read this and MJ's comment and got all gooey (i'm very gooey these days) and thought: snakes be damned! but then i thought that i read somewhere that that God fellow that so many people are always talking about already took care of that, or at least cursed them. and then i thought: wait, i could make a career out of this--sitting in people's living rooms, charging a nominal fee. my list of skills is long. "Beth Marzoni, excellent couch sitter, is also well versed in discussions of literature, film, art, issues of the New Yorker, and gossip. She reads aloud (silly voices by request), and she is good at asking your dinner guests slightly uncomfortable and probing questions. She welcomes pets; in fact, she often showers them with enthusiastic attention, and plays well with children. She is also willing to help you clean out your liquor cabinet." see? this could work.
